ProSolution wins new contract with Merseytravel

ProSolution, the fleet and transport consultancy, has been awarded a new contract by the Bus Services Division of Merseytravel.

The company, owned by former Redbridge Fleet Manager Eddie Cross, won the bid via a mini-tender to provide Engineering Audits to undertake an engineering audit programme and inspection regime on behalf of Merseytravel. This work will function as an assurance tool to enable Merseytravel to monitor through inspection and audit, the engineering performance of all its operators and ensure compliance not only with agreed conditions of the contract but with the laws governing the passenger transport industry.

The new contract which covers Liverpool City Region commenced in March 2022 for a 12-month period with an option of contract extensions.

Merseytravel is the strategic transport advisor to the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and is also responsible, on its behalf, for transport delivery.

The Combined Authority is led by Mayor Steve Rotheram bringing together Liverpool City Region’s six local authorities – Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens, and Wirral, using devolved powers from Government to create an environment that allows this economy to thrive. Those authorities work together to make investments in areas that have a real impact on our communities, such as transport, employment and skills, culture, digital connectivity, housing, and much more
