Scarab Sweepers has delivered ten brand-new sweepers to Newham Council to replace its full fleet of street-cleaning vehicles.
The handover was accompanied by comprehensive operator training for the local authority’s road sweeper operatives.
The fleet replacement consists of a mix of sweepers available from Scarab Sweepers in the United Kingdom – the Magnum 72, the RAVO R2, and the RAVO R1.
The R1 is a subcompact sweeper ideal for pavements and pedestrianised areas. It is a dedicated sweeping platform, which means it is designed to deliver exceptional suction and sweeping performance. The R2 is a compact sweeper that thrives in any urban environment and features a unique brush deployment that can reach inaccessible areas. The single-engine Magnum 72 is one of Scarab’s truck-mounted sweepers, which will help the local authority with daily tasks thanks to its payload advantage and reduced engine emissions.
Scarab’s Regional Sales Manager for London and the South East, Matt Burdon, comments: ‘We are delighted to kick off this partnership with Newham Council by delivering ten new machines. As with every Scarab machine, we have delivered comprehensive training for all these sweepers to ensure all of Newham’s operators can operate the machine confidently, competently, and safely. I thank the Newham team for their trust and support.’
