Together for Safer Roads (TSR), a US non-governmental organisation dedicated to advancing road safety through cross-sector collaboration and technological innovation has announced Dennis Eagle as its newest member.
Dennis Eagle, a global supplier of refuse collection vehicles and a pioneer in Direct Vision (low blind-zone) cab design, aligns with TSR’s commitment to promoting global fleet safety and reducing traffic-related incidents worldwide.
Dennis Eagle‘s expertise in vehicle design tailored to customers’ evolving safety needs has helped make it a premier vehicle supplier in the waste management industry. The company has a longstanding commitment to safety innovation and sustainability, and its vehicles are present in markets globally.
‘Truck design is fundamental to safer roads and fleets, and we are thrilled to welcome Dennis Eagle, a leader in the field, as the newest member of Together for Safer Roads,’ said Peter Goldwasser, TSR’s Executive Director.
Dennis Eagle’s expertise, especially in Direct-Vision cab design, will significantly contribute to our ongoing Direct-Vision work. We are particularly excited about their use of TSR’s direct-vision 5-star Rating Test Kit, which will help increase awareness and adoption of safer trucks.
Dennis Eagle has a US manufacturing facility with a new plant and headquarters in Summerville, SC.
In 2022, Dennis Eagle partnered with Century Waste Services to incorporate their ProView vehicles in waste collection in New York City. It has supplied many municipalities, including Calgary, Dallas, Denver and Pittsburgh. The ProView chassis has best-in-class visibility through its large panoramic cab and unobstructed walkthrough design, enhancing safety for the driver, crew, and vulnerable road users.
‘We are honoured to join Together for Safer Roads in their mission to enhance global road safety,” said Geoff Rigg, President at Dennis Eagle. ‘Our dedication to producing vehicles with low blind zones aligns seamlessly with TSR’s vision, and we look forward to contributing to advancing fleet safety on a global scale.’
Dennis Eagle’s membership strengthens TSR’s ability to help achieve safer roads and fleets through innovative truck design and furthers its position as a global leader in fostering partnerships and implementing programs aimed at preventing traffic crashes, injuries, and fatalities.
