The highly anticipated IVECO S-eWay Rigid is officially on sale in the UK.
Akin to the award-winning eDaily, the IVECO S-eWay features a modular battery system that enables operators to specify the battery capacity that meets their mission requirements. Battery options range from 280kWh up to the headline 490kWh 7-battery layout, providing a range of up to 400km on a single charge. The location of the modules within the chassis is also flexible, providing bodybuilders with a versatile platform that can cater for any mission. This adaptable platform also supports installing a wide range of equipment, from stabiliser legs to side-access stairs. From hookloaders and box bodies to tippers and refuse machines, the IVECO S-eWay is suitable for any application.
Nine wheelbases ranging from 3600 to 6700 are available in 4×2 or 6×2 configurations. A rich specification provides options for rear or full air suspension, ePTO flexibility, and multiple battery configurations on either side of the chassis.

Charging an eHGV is mission-critical, and the IVECO S-eWay has been designed with rapid charging capabilities to ensure maximum uptime. DC charging up to 350kW can provide a 20-80% charge (5 battery model) in less than 45 minutes, equating to 200km of additional range.
For missions requiring power, zero-emission ePTO offers up to 60 kw of potential, with options for Low Voltage (LV), High Voltage (HV) and mechanical variants. LV ePTO is used for less demanding equipment such as tail lifts, whereas HV ePTO can offer 20kW of continuous power, ideal for use with refrigerator bodies. The vehicle’s traction batteries power both options, meaning there is no need for additional cells or generators on board to power ancillary equipment. For even more specialised equipment, a HV Mechanical ePTO can provide 60kW continuously, with peak power of up to 100kW to drive hydraulic pumps for applications such as tippers, skip loaders, cranes, and more.
Further innovation is found in the FPT eAxle, which delivers power without encroaching on cargo volumes or payload capacity. It can supply 480kW of continuous power with a peak wheel torque of 45,000Nm. The IVECO S-eWay is available in a range of GVWs from 20-28 tonnes and a maximum GCW of 44 tonnes.
Mike Cutts, Business Line Director Full Range UK & ROI at IVECO, said: ‘IVECO has been an innovator in alternative fuels for over two decades, and the launch of our IVECO S-eWay Rigid really symbolises our ambition to help drive the road of change without compromising mission capability.’
