Municipal vehicle rental company CTS Hire has ensured that its London-bound vehicles comply with the latest Direct Vision Standards, which were introduced on 28 October this year.
CTS Hire has engaged with fleet solutions provider Fleetclear to equip any non-compliant vehicles with its Progressive Safe System. The system is enhanced with AI-based camera detection technology and comprises a Blind Spot Information System (BSIS) and a Moving Off Information System (MOIS) for full DVS compliance.
Shamek Kowslczyk, Head of the Hire Division, said: ‘We pride ourselves on providing the most up-to-date vehicle technology to our customers, always ensuring that our vehicles are equipped with the latest safety and monitoring equipment. We have worked with Fleetclear for several years and are very happy with their camera systems and software platform. They have been extremely helpful in ensuring that all our vehicles fully comply with the new standards applied to HGVs operating in London.’
Jason Maddern, Head of Municipal UK, Fleetclear, said: ‘CTS Hire is a long-standing customer of Fleetclear, and its commitment to safety is reflected in a fleet that maintains the highest standards. We are pleased they came to us to achieve DVS compliance. We have seen a great uptake of our PSS offering amongst companies operating in Greater London, and any company concerned about DVS compliance can contact us.’
