Fleet Vision International – THE SHOW will be held on April 27 2023, at the historic Guildhall in the City of London.

The conference and exhibition will again be hosted by the City of London Corporation and partnered with the City of  New York, the Westminster Commission for Road Air Quality, the SMMT, CLOCS and Fleet Vision International.

This year’s conference will see big names from the likes of BP, the City of Seattle, the John Lewis Partnership, Stellantis, CILT (UK), NYC Parks and Recreation, University of Birmingham, and Islington Council speaking about fleet decarbonisation, net-zero transition, hydrogen transition, fleet electrification, the driver shortage, fleet safety, and many other topics.

International collaboration between cities and public and private sector fleets to reduce emissions from road transport is an ongoing theme for the conference. ‘It is fantastic to celebrate a genuinely trans-Atlantic partnership between the two of the world’s leading cities – London and New York – and now we can add Seattle into the equation,’ said Keith Bottomley CC, Deputy Chairman of Policy, City of London Corporation, who will welcome delegates to the conference on behalf of the City of London.

‘Fleet Vision International – THE SHOW has become a showcase for all the City of London Corporation has achieved to improve the city’s air quality by reducing transport emissions. Together with NYC, we are now setting an example about what can be achieved with international cooperation and sheer determination to make cities a better place for all.’

Eric Richardson, Deputy Fleet Officer, NYC DCAS, will be co-hosting the conference with Ann-Marie Knegt, Editor of Fleet Vision International and Creative Director of Visie Communications.

Over the last seven years, DCAS Fleet Management has worked with and collaborated with London partners, including the City of London Corporation, WCRAQ, Fleet Vision International, and others on issues such as road safety, sustainability, climate change, electrification, and alternative fuels such as bio-diesel and renewable diesel. Through joint efforts, the event has advanced solutions for fleets worldwide. It has also encouraged and supported new partnerships with various cities in Canada, Australia, and the European Union. This year, Seattle joins the event, adding its experiences and expertise into the mix.

Eric will also chair the Vision Zero round table debate on 26 April at the Guidhall, focusing on how to grow international collaboration on fleet and road safety initiatives.

‘I am honoured to chair this year’s panel,’ said Eric. ‘We will discuss important topics such as the safe system approach to road safety, sharing of success stories and the challenges in a post-Covid world, and how we can move governments and vehicle industry professionals to a common set of safety standards. We can and need to do a better job at saving lives and reducing serious injuries on our roads.’

The conference on April 27 will consist of multiple discussions on sustainability and the decarbonisation of the transport sector, which is an essential step in solving our global air quality crisis.

‘As co-host with Ann-Marie Knegt, I am excited to present the conference agenda, including the NYC Parks Department showcasing how it has made its fleet facilities more sustainable. While the City of New York has made tremendous progress in electric vehicles and infrastructure, using bio-based fuels, and implementing anti-idling technology, hosting this event in cooperation with Fleet Vision International will help us all make our vehicles greener and safer,’ explained Eric.

Event organiser Ann-Marie Knegt said: ‘Fleet Vision International – THE SHOW is the showcase for world leaders in fleet. I am delighted that we are taking this event to the next level and have such a strong line-up of partners and speakers.

‘However, it is our sponsors and exhibitors who make this event such a success. Vision Track has kindly agreed to be the headline sponsor for Fleet Vision International – THE SHOW. NRG Riverside will be the main sponsor for the FVI Awards and Gala Dinner on the evening of April 27, held at the Banking Hall, with Dennis Eagle and Terberg Matec sponsoring the drinks reception. Thank you to all of you for your support.’
