Allison Transmission will highlight its latest technology in firefighting and emergency services, including its eGen Power electric propulsion system, at the SICUR biennial international trade fair this month (IFEMA exhibition centre, Madrid; February 22-25; stand 8E26).
Allison is expanding its product portfolio with a range of eGen Powe fully integrated electric axles to respond to the transportation sector’s new legislation and sustainability trends. Allison electrified solutions provide zero emissions and low noise, significant in urban environments.
A Renault Trucks d 2.1 280.18 R 4×2 E6 crew cab heavy-duty fire truck, specially designed for urban and industrial fires, will be displayed at the Incipresa stand (Stand 8D01) at SICUR. The truck is equipped with an Allison 3200 fully automatic transmission and features an integrated output retarder for improved braking and reduced brake wear. Incipresa is responsible for the bodywork and delivery of the vehicle to the Alcorcón Fire Department. The vehicle has a water capacity of 3,500 litres and a foam capacity of over 100 litres. Body width of 2400 mm makes it the narrowest truck on the market, significantly improving accessibility in urban areas and giving it a significant competitive advantage.
‘In three words, Allison fully automatic transmissions provide the fire department with safety, reliability and agility. This is unquestionably a good mix for our clients,’ said José Otero, CEO at Incipresa.
