Yorkshire-based plan hire company Fairfax specified seven brand new Isuzu rigids for the first time, adding three Isuzu Grafter 3.5 tonne trucks and four Isuzu 7.5 tonne trucks to its fleet.
Operating out of their three depots in Yorkshire, the seven new Isuzus will be working in the Fairfax Plant Hire fleet for at least five years, with each vehicle covering around 40,000 miles per annum.
The debutant Isuzus at Fairfax comprises three Isuzu Grafter N35.150 rigids fitted with bespoke aluminium Nesmo beavertail bodies that incorporate a winch and four Isuzu N75.190(E) rigids with Shawtrack beavertail bodies. The 3.5-tonne Grafters are towing trailers, while the 7.5-tonne Isuzus are used to deliver and collect general items of the self-drive plant.

‘The incumbent vehicles were underperforming. So, we decided it was the right time to replace them.
